E2BN's VC services are part of a wider National Education Network for VC. E2BN's services include provision of a core VC network with solutions suitable for whole class teaching and low cost entry solutions suitable for one to one communications. In addition E2BN also provdes support on the use of VC in the classroom and curriculum.

Access to high-Quality VC Network:

This network allows free IP calls between any suitably equipped site on the network and also has equipment that will allow schools or organisations using ISDN to be integrated into a conference with schools using IP. The serivces allow you to make:

• Point to point calls - calls between two VC units
• Multipoint calls - calls between three or more units
• Schedule calls - to ensure a call is made at the appropriate time
• Access to international resources of museums, galleries, libraries, universities and colleges are accessible via the JVCS.

Flashmeeting:

Flashmeeting is a low-cost, entry level Video-Conferencing system developed by the Open University. While not suitable for many-many conferences it is an excellent introduction to VC requiring few technical resources to set up and can be used for face-to-face meetings with multiple participants and for remote presenter to classroom situations. Advice on equipment purchase and room layout as well as the purchase of cost effective solutions

Supported Video Conferences:

Each year E2BN runs an number of introductory Video conferences based on different areas of the curriculum and for  different age groups. Any schools are welcome to join in the conferences, particuarly those schools who are using VC for the first time and may want support both technical or curriculum on integrating VC into their lessons.
